Finn Balor, John Cena, And Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre, Dean Ambrose, And Bobby Lashley

The heels put the hurt on Finn Balor early, with Bobby Lashley isolating him from his teammates with his strength. Balor managed to knock Drew McIntyre and Dean Ambrose off the apron, but Lashley hit his spinebuster to stop Balor in his tracks before beating on Finn in the corner.

Ambrose tagged in and started dominating Balor, yelling, “We’re a dream team, baby!” But Balor managed to create an opening against the trash-talking Ambrose, hitting a Pele Kick on Dean before tagging in John Cena, who hit some moves of doom on the Intercontinental Champion.

But Ambrose tagged McIntyre before being hit by the Attitude Adjustment, and Drew nailed Cena with a lovely “Glasgow Kiss” before the commercial break.

So Cena needed to work an opening for himself, and just when it seemed like he might be able to tag in Rollins, Ambrose reached out and brought McIntyre back into the fold. McIntyre and Cena started trading strikes before Drew nailed “The Champ” with a spinebuster. As he said earlier, he’s been waiting to get his hands on Cena for years, but he didn’t get too much time to dominate Cena, as Lashley tagged back in.

Lashley wiped out Rollins, but he paid the price, getting hit with an AA. Both men were down with Cena unable to capitalize, and just when he tried to tag Seth in, Ambrose caught up to him, locking him in a devastating Sleeper Hold.

With Cena and Ambrose both down after a double-clothesline spot, Cena hit Balor with the “hot tag”, and Finn started going hard after Dean. Lashley tried to rush in to help, but he ate a slingblade for his efforts, with Finn quickly countering the Dirty Deeds to keep the “hot hand”.

Balor seemed to have the match won with the “Coup de Grace”, but McIntyre stopped him in his tracks with another devastating Claymore before begging Dean for a tag.

Rollins clawed his way back to the apron, and Seth and Dean met to the thunderous roar of the crowd. Seth, as always, worked at breakneck speed, hitting an INSANE springboard moonsault to the outside before getting a nearfall on McIntyre via the Falcon Arrow.

Soon after, everyone started hitting big moves. Cena hit McIntyre with the AA, Lashley speared Cena, and Seth hit McIntyre with a superkick. But McIntyre rolled out of the way to avoid a certain loss to the Frog Splash, and Dean tagged in for a Dirty Deeds attempt. Seth countered, eventually hitting “The Stomp” on Dean for the victory and some revenge, potentially earning himself an Intercontinental Championship rematch as a result of that pinfall.

Following the match, Seth asked Triple H for a shot at the title, and the “COO” couldn’t deny him. It’s “Falls Count Anywhere”, and Triple H welcomed Seth back.

Grade: A, A well laid-out, exciting match fought among six great wrestlers, and Seth Rollins, once again, stole the show.
