2. The Usos and The Bar Are Attacked By Multiple Tag Teams, Leaving Their Match a No Contest
SmackDown’s tag team division got diverse quickly in the past few weeks.
SAnitY and Gallows and Anderson re-emerged on the scene, and The Miz and Shane McMahon finally made their tag team official.
It’s odd then, that on the surface WWE has seemingly decided to feature a retread of a played out rivalry in a number 1 contender’s match this week.
Personally, I just don’t think it makes any sense. That’s why I’m betting this match between The Bar and The Usos will end in a no contest after both SAnitY and Gallows and Anderson interfere.
A fatal four-way seems like the only logical place the SmackDown tag team division can go, providing us with another multi-man match to look forward to at Royal Rumble.
If you’re wondering how The New Day will play into all of this, simply put; they won’t. Most of the members of the teams in the proposed fatal four-way will likely be held out of The Royal Rumble match itself, where as every member of The New Day projects to be in it.
While it’s certainly possible some of the bigger names involved like Cesaro, Sheamus, or The Usos appear in The Royal Rumble itself, they likely won’t have as big of the role as The New Day who usually stick around for a fair amount of time with multiple spots in the match.
At the end of the day, I think that all means WWE is able to, and likely will, feature a fatal four-way tag team title match at Royal Rumble, which may even be announced this week as well.
The other title match we can expect to see made this week for Royal Rumble is the SmackDown Women’s Championship match, after we find out who prevails in what should be an exceptional main event.
