3. Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman Feels Bland And Unimportant

Everything about the Universal Championship feels unimportant when Brock Lesnar is holding it, let’s just call it like it is.  Unfortunately, Lesnar is once again the Universal Champion on the heels of the start of the road to WrestleMania heading into a Royal Rumble showdown with Braun Strowman.

Strowman has faced Lesnar multiple times before and failed to capture the title, but since he defeated Baron Corbin at TLC, The Monster Among Men will face The Beast Incarnate for the title once again.  Last night was billed as a face-to-face encounter between the two behemoths, but that would quickly turn into false advertisement just to push the anti-Lesnar agenda.

Lesnar and his advocate Paul Heyman were hanging out backstage when Strowman called out Lesnar.  Heyman said Lesnar wasn’t going to come out and go face-to-face with him, so Strowman tried provoking him into coming out.  Lesnar eventually did come out, but this would be a bigger waste of time than what the segment started out as.

The Beast Incarnate came out, walked around the ring, walked back up the ramp, and that was it.

It was a complete waste of time from start to finish and did absolutely nothing to make fans interested in this match.

First of all, nobody believes Lesnar will actually lose the Universal Championship to Strowman in the first place.  But it gets even worse when Strowman has had multiple attempts to win it, only to come up short each time.

This entire situation is starting to insult fans’ intelligence, but that is simply the norm when it comes to Lesnar and the Universal Championship.
