3. Should Nia Jax get this much airtime?

When Nia Jax ascended to the top of the Raw women’s division, it was a breath of fresh air. She was unlike any other wrestler in the division and had a dominating aura around her. But as time went on and as the spot light shed more light on her, issues began to show up.

Nia already has a history of botches. The most notorious one being the stray punch to Becky Lynch that earned Jax the moniker “Facebreaker.”

Throw in her mic skills, which are yet to impress me, and you need to question creative’s decision to give her so much exposure. She might  not be in the title picture, but she has been out there every week.

The little bit of promo this week was pretty painful to listen to and brought down the entire segment to a low, until Sasha Banks delivered the line of the night and got ready for a fight.

Then comes the botch that nearly made everyone who was watching go ‘oohhh’. During a hurricanrana spot on the apron that didn’t go as planned, Sasha hit the floor hard and Nia hit the apron hard.

People pointed out the botch and at least a few fans have brought up the old argument that Sasha needs to be more careful between the ropes, but that argument was beautifully broken down in the past.

Seeing the clip, it looked like Nia was either supposed to flip to the outside or hold Sasha longer. Indeed, she failed to hold on to Sasha, resulting in the botch. Now am not looking to place the blame or say she should go back to developmental.

Nia is a good wrestler, but she needs to improve on the mic and in the ring to justify her spot near the top. As far as her ring game goes, WWE already has a potential solution on their hands. Tamina Snuka has much more experience and can help Nia grow as a competitor.

They are already a tag team, so it makes sense to have Nia compete in tag matches for a good while and learn and absorb from Tamina along the way. Not only will it help her to develop a safer wrestling style, but it will turn her into a more competent wrestler along the way.

Until then, the spotlight and the attention needs to go to someone else who deserves it at the moment.
