2. Is it too late to place the Universal Championship on Strowman?

Braun Strowman is set to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at the Royal Rumble. The downside to this match is that it practically takes Strowman out of the Men’s Royal Rumble, which would have been a better outlet for him to create something memorable at this stage.

The Monster Among Men has lost his invincible aura thanks to losing when it mattered the most. Despite having multiple shots at the Universal Championship, Braun has never won when it mattered the most.

Dominating the field during the Royal Rumble and eliminating a handful for competitors would have been a good way to bring back Strowman to the forefront again by being an unstoppable monster. Instead, there is a good chance that he will lose out to Lesnar once again.

If that happens, building Strowman up once more will be a real task. Especially with another big man named Lars Sullivan looming around. Even if Strowman does win the Universal Title, ending Lesnar’s reign, the damage has already been done.

An ill-timed heel turn already derailed the momentum The Monster Among Men had built over time. An organic babyface run was brought to a halt just for the sake of shock value, and now creative has to pay the price.

Can Braun Strowman finally overcome his demons and make it count when it matters the most? Can he climb back to the top of the mountain and claim a spot, in my opinion, he deserved almost a year ago?
