2. Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas Shocks Rey Mysterio and Picks Up The Win in Another Amazing Clash

Rey Mysterio is a lucha libre legend. Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas is one of the brightest up-and-coming superstars in WWE. Put the two together and it should come as no surprise that they are able to create something great.

After their epic piledriver spot last week, Mysterio and Almas will look to continue to bring incredible in-ring excitement to SmackDown in another singles match this week.

In their first encounter, Rey Mysterio pulled out the victory in what was a back-and-forth clash. This time, I expect the tables to turn and Almas to steal a win.

Almas is currently one of the most criminally underutilized stars in WWE. He has amazing in-ring talent and oozes charisma. Its a shame he’s really yet to pick up a signature victory on the main roster after a great run as NXT World Champion.

That should change this week after Almas, either by some underhanded tactics or due to interference by a new rival for Mysterio, beats the legendary luchador after another show-stealing match.

Hopefully then, this gives Almas the last push he needs to break into a title picture, potentially as a future challenger for Rusev’s United States Championship after ‘The Bulgarian Brute’ finishes his feud with Shinsuke Nakamura.

While I thoroughly enjoy when Almas steps into the ring with WWE greats like Mysterio and A.J. Styles, its time for him to start being more than just a superstar who can put on a great match in a pinch. Its time he gets the push towards a title he deserves, which should begin after his win this week.

Almas and Mysterio won’t be the only superstars adding another chapter to their feud this week though. Naomi will undoubtedly be looking for revenge on Mandy Rose after she cost The Usos a shot at becoming number 1 contenders for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships last week.
