1. The Miz vs. Sheamus

The on-screen relationship between The Miz and Shane McMahon has been entertaining TV over the past couple of months.  The A-Lister has tried his hardest to get Shane on his side and join him in a tag team, and finally, Shane O’Mac agreed to give it a shot.

These newfound besties will face The Bar for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at the Royal Rumble, but last night started out as a birthday celebration for Shane O’Mac courtesy of The Miz.  There were gifts, birthday cakes, and singing with The A-Lister going all out for his new tag team partner and friend.

It was entertaining to see, but when Sheamus and Cesaro interrupted the proceedings, things became more serious when The Miz would end up going one-on-one with Sheamus, dressed in a suit no less.  With Shane and Cesaro watching ringside, The Miz and Sheamus battled it out.  Cesaro tried to interfere, but Shane O’Mac took him out of the picture by sending him crashing through a table sitting ringside with a birthday cake on top.

That allowed Miz to roll-up Sheamus from behind and get the win over The Celtic Warrior.  Sheamus tried attacking The Miz after the match, but Shane aided his tag team partner and the two would ground Sheamus, capping it off with a patented Shane O’Mac coast-to-coast with a birthday cake in the face of Sheamus.  This was an enjoyable segment to close out the show and the match was solid, despite only about five minutes in duration.

It wasn’t a match that would steal the show, but everything surrounding the match made it an entertaining close out to last night’s SmackDown.
