Meet the Superheroes of WOW-Women of Wrestling!

Launching in the year 2000, and created by GLOW creator David McLane, WOW is an all-female professional wrestling company who has had a bit of a rocky past, but thats another column for another time.

Fast forward to 2015, and WOW was an all digital program, exclusively on their website, WOWe.com, for a single season. Now, January 18, 2019, WOW Superheroes is set to debut on AXS TV as a part of their Friday Night Fights lineup. Before watching the all-female wrestling action, allow me to introduce to you the Superheroes of WOW!

First we will start with the Rookies:

Siren The Voodoo Doll

  • @WOW_Voodoo

Not much is known about “The Swamp Witch Queen” who will be making her professional wrestling debut with WOW this year. Siren wants you to be sure you “viens vor,” or come see, as she conjures a little magic on the rest of the WOW Superheroes, in her quest to become the WOW Champion.

Samantha Smart

  • @wow_samsmart

From a small Indiana town, Samantha Smart has spent her WOW career behind the scenes, collecting data on all the other Superheroes since nearly the beginning. Now, Samantha believes she has collected all the statistics and analytics she needs to step into the WOW ring and defeat any opponent that steps in her path. After all, this strategy of study, analyze and conquer is how Stephanie became an undefeated college tennis player as well.
