Naomi vs. Mandy Rose

Alright, this is it! We get a video package summing up the events that was pretty corny, especially the part where they confused “exact revenge” and “extract revenge”. Oh well, they get a Miz Participation Award from me!

Naomi started firing off on Mandy Rose on the outside before the bell rang, and Naomi slapped Mandy all over the place inside the ring before Rose retreated to her partner Sonya Deville on the outside.

Following the break, Rose firmly had the upper hand and started delivering rapid-fire strikes to Naomi’s mid-section in the corner. But a couple of big kicks got Naomi right back in it, and she just wouldn’t stop stunning Mandy with her strikes.

After taking a hurricanrana, Mandy cheated by forearming the ref, taking advantage of a distraction from Sonya, and pinned Naomi off of some BS fluke hit on the ring post.

This was awful. This was NOT the match these two women needed in such a heated rivalry, and while this will hopefully lead to even more story-telling at the Rumble and beyond, this was a dumb way for Naomi to lose. I wouldn’t put it past WWE to book a terrible finish to get us more upset and pulling for Naomi, but that doesn’t justify a dumb decision/bad finish.

Grade: F, I get that they want to save time for Andrade vs. Rey, but this wasn’t it. Like, this match got 5 minutes and most of it was during the commercial? Let’s do better by the women, WWE.
