Rey Mysterio Addresses Andrade
Tonight, Rey Mysterio and Andrade will battle it out in a two out of three falls match, and Rey informs the audience that the playing field will be level with Zelina Vega banned from ringside, noting last week’s cheap finish. Mysterio says that Andrade wants respect, but he has to earn it by beating people clean. This match will show us what Andrade is truly made of, because it’s hard to get a fluke victory with two falls needed for a win.
The Miz vs. Cesaro
Cesaro picked up an early advantage after a brief distraction from Sheamus, as Cesaro just kept going after The Miz with some crazy uppercuts. He stared Shane down after viciously throwing Miz to the mat and followed that up with a beautiful tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.
The Miz made a brief comeback after the break, much to Shane’s happiness. Cesaro nearly stole the match with a BIG uppercut to counter Miz’s top-rope move, and he tried to use the ropes to bag the win. Shane saved the day, but paid for it dearly thanks to an attack from Sheamus. With Shane laid out no the outside, Cesaro and Sheamus took advantage. Sheamus hit Miz with a cheapshot, allowing Cesaro to hit the neutralizer for the win.
But Shane was PISSED at Sheamus’s attack and started beating the hell out of him on the outside. He took down Cesaro, slammed Sheamus into the ring post, and then set up a Coast-to-Coast on Cesaro on the announce table. But could he hit this on the go-home show before the Rumble?
Nope! Sheamus intervened, tossing Shane off the top rope and into the barricade before wiping out Miz on the ring post. Sheamus and Cesaro then ganged up on Shane, as Sheamus nailed him with the Brogue Kick of all Brogue Kicks.
Miz put his body over Shane to save his partner, but The Bar didn’t care. They set up Miz on the announce table, too, and then threw Shane on top of him to break the announce table!
Grade: B, The Bar may not retain at the Royal Rumble, but, wow, they looked great here. Great brawl after a ho-hum match.
