3. Has the Women’s Royal Rumble match become too predictable?

While nothing can be said about the Men’s Royal Rumble match winner at the moment, the same cannot be said about the Women’s match, unfortunately. Charlotte’s Flair’s presence in the match is a blessing and a curse at the same time. The Queen will undoubtedly raise the star power of the match itself and bring her A Game. Her impressive athleticism will make for some breathtaking spots.

But on the flip side, her presence could very well ensure her victory too. Lynch, Flair, and Ronda are destined to clash with each other. Winning the Rumble would ensure Flair punches her ticket to a title shot at WrestleMania 35. Even then, the rest needs to be determined. As in, how will Lynch and/or Ronda factor into the equation?

The fact that apart from Charlotte no other woman in the match possesses that star power to create intrigue for an eventual match at WrestleMania is a matter of concern. Nikki Cross, while an intriguing pick, has just made her main roster debut. The Riott Squad doesn’t have enough momentum. Sonya Deville is still developing her skill set. Bayley and Sasha seem to be destined to be the first ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Carmella’s entry at Number 30 gives her a lot of advantage, but even she has been away from relevant feuds for so long that her winning the Rumble seems far-fetched at this point. In short, except for Charlotte Flair, there isn’t an ideal pick to win the Women’s Rumble match. But then again, the Rumble is actually about creating new stars. So we just have to see if a new superstar is born on Sunday.
