WWE Royal Rumble 2019 Predictions: Will It Be Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Or Both?

WWE Championship: Daniel Bryan(c) vs. AJ Styles
Kyle: The New Daniel Bryan is on another level right now. I see him carrying his newfound intensity and aggressiveness into his bout with AJ Styles, leading to a successful title defense.
Prediction: Bryan by pinfall
Joe: Go back and watch any segment with Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles. Bryan is unquestionably the better character and better as a performer in almost every aspect. Was AJ Styles’s title reign great? Should it have been more than a year long? I don’t think so. And the more Bryan blows him out of the water, the more I start to think that it’s better if we don’t get to know the “real” AJ Styles as WWE Champion.
Prediction: Daniel Bryan
Chris: This should be another quality match between these two, but there’s no reason to put the title back on Styles, especially in light of his recent comments. Bryan has flourished in this eco-friendly supervillain — or folk hero, depending on your perspective — over the last several months, so taking the belt off of him now would halt his momentum. Of course, the specter of Elimination Chamber hangs over this match, as a cheap finish to set up these two taking part in the PPV’s namesake match next month remains a possibility. Plus, I don’t think WWE wants Styles to lose clean, even if his character could survive such a setback. So I’ll pick “The Planet’s Champion” to remain WWE Champion, by hook or by crook.
Prediction: Daniel Bryan by pinfall
Bryan: If this was any other pay per view, I’d say just make this an Iron Man Match and let Bryan and Styles tear it up for an hour. But with two time-consuming battles royal, we’ll just have to settle for what I’m dubbing The Match of the Night™. Both superstars are on top of their games, and barring some kind of insane booking, it’ll deliver on all levels. I’m thinking Styles picks up the victory and regains the championship in the end, just to change things up.
Prediction: AJ Styles
Patches: I’ll do my best not to get on a soapbox here, because AJ Styles has disqualified himself from deserving the WWE Championship with recent actions outside of the ring. I have no doubt this will be a spectacular match, but Styles should not be the company’s representative considering recent comments and appearances. I expect a fantastic match, but Daniel Bryan makes Styles tap out to the LeBell Lock.
Prediction: Daniel Bryan via submission
Joe Anthony Myrick: It’s way too early for Bryan to lose the title; he’s just starting to get hot and settling into his heel role. And Styles is coming off the heels of some controversy he started on Steven Crowder’s podcast talking about Gillette razors and expressing some harmful views. It’ll be bad timing to put the title on Styles now, so Bryan wins.
Prediction: Bryan
Jesse: The evolving Daniel Bryan is the Planet’s champion which has been hilarious and quite entertaining. We all know what Bryan is capable of in the ring and he’s arguably the inferior in ring talent in this match up.
Styles is coming into this rematch with renewed focus and intensity. Ever since being challenged by Vince McMahon, Styles has been eager to show us his edge and new found aggression. With his title reign in the rear view mirror, Styles may be ready to transition into a feud with another worthy competitor. Randy Orton would provide him with some memorable moments I’m sure.
Bryan should remain WWE champion and he likely will cheat to do so. It’s anyone’s guess who his opponent will be going forward?
