A Stacked “Moment of Bliss”

I’ve made it quite clear that I hate wrestling “talk shows.” The formula is predictable and they rarely add substance to Raw or SmackDown; you don’t see these terrible things on NXT and they’ve managed to do pretty well for themselves over on the yellow brand. However, I will grant that “A Moment of Bliss” has already provided the women’s division with several opportunities for exposure on an already too-long Raw where they’d be otherwise shamefully left off the show completely.

This week Alexa Bliss actually had a stacked show that gave many of the women who are set to participate in Sunday’s Royal Rumble match a voice to help build some excitement for the big night. These women needed the TV time, because it’s going to take a lot of work to live up to the hype of last year’s first ever women’s Royal Rumble match. That was a huge deal for me personally and I totally marked out for it, and this year the women won’t be able to rely on the energy of the match being the first of its kind.

Lacey Evans also made a surprise appearance on the talk show to let all the “nasties” of the women’s division know that a real lady is going to win the Royal Rumble and head to WrestleMania this year. Lacey’s work is super fun to watch and I can’t wait to see her interactions with the rest of the division over the coming months. It looks like she might even be set to get started with a feud against the host of the show she crashed, Alexa Bliss.
