R-Truth (c) vs. Rusev for the United States Championship

The “A” show giving us back-to-back United States Championship matches? How could anyone be mad at that?

As expected, Rusev grounds Truth to zero offense at the beginning after hitting a big kick, and Rusev just kept irish whipping the NEW United States Champion all over the place.

Truth managed to counter Rusev with his quickness, rolled him up wonderfully…AND WON AGAIN VIA ROLL-UP!

But his celebration didn’t last, as Shinsuke Nakamura attacked the new champion from behind, stomping him a few times before throwing him back in the ring to feed him to Rusev. The Bulgarian George Clooney stared down his old rival with a tinge of respect, and both men started destroying R-Truth together.

Is Rusev heel? Is he working with Nakamura? For now, it doesn’t matter because there was something kind of cool about watching them work together. Nakamura held Truth up for the Machka Kick, and Rusev delivered, smiling as the crowd booed.

And now I’m sad, because babyface Rusev was >

Shinsuke hits a Kinsasha on Truth, and the segment ends. It appears we’ll be getting a “medical update” on Truth, who had to defeat two of WWE’s best in order to win and secure the United States Championship.

Grade: C+, I have no idea what to make of this yet, so I’ll just give it an “average” grade as a placeholder. But I was mildly entertained, so let’s throw a “plus” in there.
