Tag Team Celebration

The Miz and Shane McMahon are here to celebrate with their WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships after defeating The Bar at the Royal Rumble Pay Per View.

These crazy dads, man…

Miz says he’s disappointed that there’s no champagne or even confetti for this celebration, but Shane tells him that there’s something “bigger” than that. He thanks Miz for helping him fulfill a childhood dream when they became tag team champions, and Miz is getting a little misty here.

Shane said he wasn’t sure how to properly repay Miz for helping him fulfill his childhood dream, but he says that Miz will never forget what’s coming next. We get a video package replaying their journey to the titles…

The crowd ate that up, giving Shane and Miz “You Deserve It!” chants, which clearly touched both men (Shane more so).

Shane said that he was hesitant about tagging with Miz, which is fair. Because like, who the heck knew why Miz REALLY wanted to tag with Shane? But when Miz explained that it was to win the tag titles for his father, Shane was touched.

And that’s why Shane brought out The Miz’s dad, who received “Mr. Miz!” chants, surprising Miz, who stated that he thought his dad was supposed to be on a flight!

His dad said, “I love you, and I’m very proud of you,” and the two hugged. Miz held back tears and said “Thank you” to Shane as Miz hugged his father. And then Miz hugged Shane.

Shane announces that their next opponents will be determined by a Four-Way Elimination Chamber match.

Grade: A, Any segment that gets me to FEEL something strong gets an “A”. I loved this, and anything that get Miz’s dad on TV is an automatic high grade, too.
