2. The Usos vs. The Bar vs. Heavy Machinery vs. The New Day

The SmackDown Tag Team Championship scene has been turned upside down in recent weeks with the development of The Miz and Shane McMahon.  Not only did those two become a tag team, but they became the SmackDown Tag Team Champions this past Sunday at the Royal Rumble.

After Miz and Shane were done celebrating with Mr. Miz, Shane announced that there would be a four corners elimination match to determine the new number one contenders for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.  The Usos, The Bar, Heavy Machinery, and The New Day did battle to see who would be next in line, and this turned out to be a very enjoyable match.

The New Day was the first team eliminated thanks to Heavy Machinery, and the former NXT standouts Otis Dozovic and Tucker Knight had an impressive showing.  Their night came to an end thanks to a Sheamus brogue kick that took Heavy Machinery out of the match, leaving only The Usos and The Bar to battle it out for the right to go on to Elimination Chamber.

It would have felt like a bit of a letdown to see The Bar win this match, but thankfully it didn’t come to that and The Usos would manage to walk away with the win and they will take on Miz and Shane at Elimination Chamber for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.  This was a very solid match that was entertaining from start to finish.

The “best tag team in the world” has a date with arguably the best tag team in the WWE over the past five years in what should be a memorable battle.

Final Grade: B+
