5. Samoa Joe

The Samoan Submission Machine is one of the few superstars on the WWE roster who could be considered as bulletproof. His booking was not the strongest in 2018 as he lost most of his big stage high stakes matches on pay-per-view, yet he remains a credible challenger. Much of that has to do with the fact that he’s been on fire on the mic and he’s always been an absolute beast in the ring.

His promo work especially has always been amped up to 11 whenever he picks up a microphone and the former 2-time NXT Champion certainly proved that last Tuesday night when he riffed on everybody in the ring. Despite never winning a title since being called up to the main roster, Joe still feels like a strong challenger.

It goes without saying that Joe has what it takes to win the WWE Championship and we would all love to see him finally get a big run with the gold. Just not at Elimination Chamber.

He’s remained hot despite failing to win the title on numerous occasions, but the fact remains that if WWE wanted to put the WWE Championship on Samoa Joe, after all of his chances, they would’ve done it by now. Samoa Joe challenged AJ Styles for his WWE Championship in 2018 several times, but always came up short. Even with the strap now on a different shoulder, we don’t see the outcome changing in Joe’s favor this time around.

Not to mention Joe is a little preoccupied handling his feud with Mustafa Ali. He needs to wrap that up before moving on to a title reign. Which, speaking of Ali…
