Aja Kong, Yuka Sakazaki At Double Or Nothing
While Yuka Sakazaki and Aja Kong weren’t announced by Brandi Rhodes as official AEW signings, their additions to the Double or Nothing Pay Per View are huge for the budding promotion. Kong is one of the biggest legends in wrestling history as an All Japan Hall of Famer who can still perform at a high level inside the ring. Aja’s list of accomplishments is impressive, to say the least, as she’s put together some absolute classics.
She’ll elevate the AEW Women’s Division in a big way at Double or Nothing, and hopefully the new promotion gets a chance to work with her more going forward.
Sakazaki’s inclusion on the Double or Nothing card is just as exciting. She isn’t nearly as big of a name as Aja, but she may be just as impressive in the ring. Fans who have watched her work at Tokyo Joshi Pro (TJP) can attest to her immense talent inside the ring, and she has the opportunity to make a big impression on an American audience at Double or Nothing in Las Vegas.
Wrestling fans have been hoping for AEW to have a friendly relationship with Joshi promotions, especially since there are worries of big promotions signing away too many talented women from Japanese promotions. Kong and Sakazaki will have a chance to showcase their work, elevate others, and build a stronger relationship between Joshi promotions and AEW.
There’s no doubt that wrestling fans will be excited to see these two women compete at Double or Nothing.
