Kagetsu, Hazuki, & Jamie Hayter vs Saki Kashima, Hina, & Rina

Before the match could get started, Natsu Sumire delighted everybody with another glorious lip sync of Saki Kashima’s theme song. Using a water bottle as a microphone, Natsu belted out the tune on the ring apron as Oedo Tai’s opponents made their entrance. She kept going even after the song had wrapped up until Oedo Tai’s theme began, at which point she scrambled to get her proper entrance garb on for the stable’s dance number. As I mentioned before, Natsu is an absolute joy.

Oedo Tai focused on Rina early on in the match using their numbers to overpower and out-match the youngster. Rina was eventually able to dodge Hazuki and drop her with a judo throw before tagging Saki in for some relief.

The rally was short-lived as a tag to Hina allowed Hazuki to power back and bring her to the mat with a series of forearm strikes to the chest. As Hazuki stumbled toward her corner for a tag, Saki and Rina hit the ring to cut her off allowing the sisters to shine a glimmer of hope with some double-teaming of their own on the Highspeed Champion.

The cohesiveness and tenacity of Oedo Tai were on full display, though, as Kagetsu and Hayter dumped Saki and Rina out of the ring allowing Hazuki to tap Hina out with a crossface submission.

Thoughts: A solid showing for Rina who could be a real contender for Utami’s Future of Stardom Title or Hazuki’s Highspeed Title before too long. Hina isn’t far off, but Rina definitely seems a step ahead of her at the moment. Oedo Tai proved why they stand atop the Stardom roster with a decisive victory from the Highspeed Champion with an assist from the World of Stardom Champion and Jamie Hayter.
