Jungle Kyona & Natsuko Tora vs Hana Kimura & Bobbi Tyler

Before the match, Bobbi cut a promo while Hana was on the phone lamenting the fact that she couldn’t party later that evening. On the other side of the fence, Jungle Kyona made her intentions of picking up her first victory of the year very clear.

Jungle Assault Nation showcased their experience working together by controlling the match in the early goings. Things went awry when a double dropkick from Hana sent Kyona and Natsuko flying from the ring. Hana faked a dive to the outside and stopped to pose before joining her opponents and partner on the floor.

Things turned sour quickly for JAN as Hana rag-dolled Kyona around the building, whipping her into several rows of chairs and dragging her around with fistfuls of hair. Back in the ring, Kyona continued to feel the punishment until she and Hana began to trade strikes. Bad idea, Hana. Kyona was able to drop Hana before tagging Natsuko into the contest.

Hana nearly tapped Natsuko out with an octopus hold which turned into a combination octopus and cross armbreaker which looked tremendously vicious as Hana looked poised to rip Natsuko’s arm out of its socket.

Turning the tables, Bobbi looked to nearly cause Kyona to pass out in a choke before having to release the hold due to a rope break. JAN fought back once more and connected with stereo splashes from the top rope before Kyona planted Bobbi in the center with her spinning powerbomb for the three.

Thoughts: A much-needed win for Kyona in a good back and forth match. Everybody came out looking strong here, especially Hana who looked set to murder Kyona outside of the ring as she threw her around the ring and pelted her with chairs. Jungle Kyona and JAN didn’t have the best end to 2018 or start to 2019, but with a victory here and new member Iida Saya, they may be shifting into another gear from here on out. Here’s hoping, because Jungle Kyona is awesome and should be a focal point somewhere on the show.
