3. Samoa Joe

On a recent episode of SmackDown, Samoa Joe was leaving the ring as WWE Champion Daniel Bryan was heading towards the ring. Joe looked at the champion like he was ready to strike until Bryan’s main muscle, Rowan, would step between them. We would like to think that this could serve as foreshadowing for things to come with a payoff on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

While he has yet to win a title on the main roster after being there for just over two years, Samoa Joe continues to look like a legitimate challenger to any World Title he so wishes to grab. His 2018 program with AJ Styles goes to prove that. Despite failing to defeat The Phenomenal One for the WWE Championship pay-per-view after pay-per-view, The Samoan Submission Machine still looks strong enough as a challenger that he could win the title on any given night.

Much of that is a testament to the competitor himself seeing as Samoa Joe’s mic skills can be argued to be the most believable, intense and overall best on the main roster. When he says “Joe’s gonna kill you” or that he’s gonna put his opponent to sleep, you believe it. If WWE want to give Daniel Bryan a believable challenger for the WWE Championship that could also make for a compelling match, Samoa Joe would be the perfect candidate.

It’s not like we don’t know for a fact that Samoa Joe and Daniel Bryan can put on a classic masterclass, either. They did so time and time again during their Ring of Honor days and even had a couple wonderful matches for the live crowds on house shows and dark matches last year. Both men still share that magical chemistry that they originally captured over a decade ago and if given the opportunity to duplicate that magic with the WWE Championship on the line at WrestleMania, they are bound to tear the roof off the place.
