2. The IIconics Stand Tall Over Their Elimination Chamber Opponents

Last week on SmackDown, we saw a triple threat tag team match between all the participants in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Elimination Chamber match.

Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose would walk away from that match with their hands held high, gaining some needed momentum for their team in the process, but this week a different tandem will likely leave SmackDown standing tall.

The IIconics, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay, are SmackDown’s most established tag team. Besides The Riott Squad, they’re really the only team that looks to have a clear future together no matter what happens at Elimination Chamber.

Royce and Kay, however, are hardly treated like pillars of the division. They’re frequently on the losing end of their encounters on SmackDown. As such, The IIconics could use a solid push on the way into Elimination Chamber that emphasizes their quality teamwork.

This week I suspect they’ll be another segment which features all 3 of SmackDown’s teams in the Elimination Chamber match. That segment, whether it be a match or just a promo war and subsequent brawl, should end with The IIconics as the clear victors.

With Deville and Rose winning last week and Naomi and Carmella status as the most thrown together team in the entire match, The IIconics deserve a chance to look like true contenders heading into Elimination Chamber this weekend.
