MLW Fusion Results, Highlights, and Grades: Hart Retains Middleweight Title
What’s Next For MLW?
Next week, the focus of Major League Wrestling shifts back to lucha libre once more as Rey Horus and Aerostar take to the skies in Philadelphia. This is a match which keeps the tradition of insane lucha at the ECW/2300 Arena alive and I’ll be counting down the days until next week’s episode.
Mance Warner will make his official in-ring debut next week against Jimmy Yuta giving the MLW faithful their first glimpse at Ol Mancer. What can the Southern Psycho bring to Major League Wrestling?
Speaking of Warner, he’s signed on for a big match at Intimidation Games in Chicago on March 2. The purveyor of Lariats and Light Beers will go head to head with Promociones Dorado’s LA Park in a Death Match. Park has shown no aversion to violence in MLW and he’ll find himself with a formidable foe in the current CZW Heavyweight Champion.
The Lucha Bros will square off with the debuting Laredo Kid and Taurus in what should be another show-stealing affair for luchadores in MLW. Can the former World Tag Team Champions get back on solid footing, or will the new faces from AAA score a major upset?
In more lucha action, Puma King faces Hijo de LA Park. Hijo de LA Park has been hit or miss for me, mostly finding his footing in tag team matches. I’ve yet to see a Puma King match in MLW that has truly blown me away, but that all could change in Chicago.
Finally, in the main event of what will be MLW’s next Fusion LIVE special on March 2, Tom Lawlor will defend the World Heavyweight Title against Low Ki inside of a steel cage. Salina and Ki requested the match and Lawlor himself added the caveat of doing the deed inside of a steel cage. Can Ki last more than 5 minutes with “Filthy” Tom in Chicago, and will the cage do anything to keep Promociones Dorado from getting involved?
