3 Things That Could Go Down at Ric Flair’s Birthday Celebration
By Kyle Boris
When it comes to Ric Flair, every time he shows up is cause to celebrate. With his next milestone approaching, things should be no different as the Nature Boy is turning 70 on February 20th. To help get the party started, Monday Night Raw will host Ric Flair’s Birthday Celebration live from Atlanta, Georgia on February 25th. What could possibly go wrong?
If we know anything about the WWE, we know that birthdays, weddings, reunions, hometown visits and pretty much all other celebrations usually don’t go as planned for the recipient. It’s unlikely Ric Flair will be immune to that. Most recently, the Festival of Friendship starring Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens went from a beautiful act of friendship to an incredibly sad stabbing in the back in a matter of seconds.
In years past, weddings almost never ended in happily ever after. Before Edge and Vicki Guerrero’s ceremony came to a close, it was revealed that the Rated R Superstar took his name a little too seriously as footage showed him hooking up with his wedding planner, Alicia Fox. At Edge’s other wedding with Lita, Kane popped up and tombstoned the priest. Seems like Edge should stop getting married on WWE programming.
Anyways, you get the point. These sort of celebrations almost never seem to have a happy ending. That being said, there is a chance this birthday doesn’t turn into a total nightmare and maybe it’s just used a catapult to further a WrestleMania program.
In the end, it should be a great opportunity to look back at a wonderful career, and we might actually get to do a little celebrating. Ultimately, however, there’s a good chance the celebrating comes to abrupt stop. There’s a few things that could realistically happen, including a segment that adds to an existing WrestleMania match or a segment that creates a new match all together. With things heating up on the Road to WrestleMania and a historic birthday on the horizon, let’s take a look at 3 Things That Could Go Down at Ric Flair’s Birthday Celebration.
