2. Batista Sets Up a WrestleMania Match

With all the possible things that could go wrong with Ric Flair’s Birthday Celebration, there is a chance that we could get a WrestleMania match out of it. The Showcase of the Immortals is approaching and Flair’s special event could be the most opportune time to plant the seeds for a future match in April.

It would be a welcomed surprise if some of Flair’s wrestling buddies showed up to help him celebrate. Seeing Flair share the ring with the likes of HHH, Randy Orton and Batista would make for a great follow-up to their reunion just a few short months ago at SmackDown 1000. It would give the group a chance to relive some of their glory days while paying homage to their mentor on his big day.

However, as we all know to well, when it comes to the wonderful world of wrestling, all good things must come to an end. At SmackDown 1000, Batista took a slight dig at HHH when he said that The Game had done everything in the business except beat The Animal. The two laughed about the exchange and ultimately nothing became of it. Well, it seems as though Ric Flair’s Birthday Celebration would be the perfect time to revisit those comments and further the discussion.

A friendly walk down memory lane could soon turn down a road that is filled with egos, jealousy and a long history between two of the greatest of all time. Ric Flair, being the father figure he is, might ultimately try to stop the two, but to no avail. Perhaps, Randy Orton, who doesn’t seem to have a match set for MetLife Stadium in April as well, would see fit to get involved as well.

At WrestleMania, you need big matches. You need matches. You need big moments. A triple threat match to determine who was the real star of Evolution would check all of those boxes. Adding a certain 16-time champion as the special referee would be the icing on the cake.
