3. vs. Y2AJ – Raw on March 7th, 2015

Y2AJ probably had the strangest, most rushed run as a tag team in WWE history. Their run together lasted a little under a month before they broke up, but in that month’s time, they briefly feuded with The New Day.

On the February 29th episode of Raw, the team of AJ Styles and Chris Jericho defeated The New Day in a non-title match. Since The New Day were the WWE Tag Team Champions at the time, this meant that Y2AJ were owed a title match in the future, and they cashed in that opportunity immediately for a match on the following week’s Raw.

Despite not tagging for long, Y2AJ felt in stereo as a tag team, pulling off lightning fast double team moves seamlessly. Meanwhile, the team of Kofi Kingston and Big E representing The New Day – with Xavier Woods causing shenanigans on the outside, of course – made for the perfect foils and heel tandem against Y2AJ. Their chemistry together was brilliant, and it makes us wish that we got more matches between these two teams, just as we wish we got more matches out of the Y2AJ duo.

If nothing else, at least the short-lived pairing leave behind a phenomenal WWE Tag Team Championship match as part of their legacy.
