At Fastlane, The Usos will defend the SmackDown Tag Team Championships in a rematch against The Miz and Shane McMahon, but wouldn’t a WWE WrestleMania 35 clash against the reunited Hardy Boyz be ideal?

Last week on SmackDown Live, Matt Hardy returned to television after not wrestling since August, when he was in a tag team with the equally absent Bray Wyatt, to reform his tag team with “Brother Nero”, Jeff Hardy. The Hardy Boyz picked up a win against Sheamus and Cesaro, quickly gaining some momentum on the road to WWE WrestleMania 35.

In a recent interview with “The Five Count” ahead of a WWE Live Event in Minneapolis on March 2, Jeff stated that he has a “really strong feeling” about facing The Usos at WrestleMania:

"“For sure. I got a really strong feeling about the Hardy Boyz reuniting — us against The Usos at Mania. I’m feeling that pretty big, we’ll see.”"

The Hardy Boyz and The Usos aren’t just two of the best tag teams in WWE today; they are two of the greatest tag teams of all-time. Both pairs of brothers have won multiple tag team champions, with Jimmy and Jey Uso in their fourth reign as SmackDown Tag Team Champions; they are six-time champs overall.

Meanwhile, the Hardyz are seven-time champions in WWE, having won the Raw Tag Team Championships in their returns at WrestleMania 33 in a ladder match. However, this is Matt’s first time on the “Blue Brand”, so they’ve yet to secure the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Two years after their legendary return to WWE at ‘Mania 33 in Orlando, they could snag yet another WrestleMania moment this year.

Of course, The Usos may need a WrestleMania moment more, seeing how they’ve only had one match at the Show of Shows. That match occurred last year in a Triple Threat, with The Usos losing their tag team titles to the Bludgeon Brothers (Harper and Rowan).

Fully expected to defeat The Miz and Shane McMahon yet again, in Miz’s hometown of Cleveland no less, at Fastlane, The Usos are near-locks to hold the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania. There wouldn’t be a bigger tag team for them to face than The Hardy Boyz, and this is a matchup that would certainly feel fresh.

It’s WONDERFUL to see Matt back on television and teaming up with Jeff again, and there’s no telling how amazing their match with The Usos could be. The Usos are machines when it comes to producing great matches, and both creative tag teams will stop at nothing to put on an amazing match; Jeff’s and Matt’s willingness to go the extra mile have made them among the most popular wrestlers in WWE history.

There are so many great tag teams on SmackDown Live that would have a killer match on the main card of WrestleMania, but, yes, The Usos vs. The Hardy Boyz would be in a different stratosphere. It’d be a dream to see them compete on the grandest stage in New York City at WrestleMania 35.
