Intercontinental Championship Match: Finn Balor (c) vs. Bobby Lashley

Finn Balor was out first for his title defense against Lashley, whose intense face donned the tron before WWE Raw went to commercial. Once back things got underway and Bobby Lashley was all business. His power was on display early, and Lio Rush remained notably absent.

Lashley kept the early advantage for a few minutes before Finn Balor slipped to the apron and hit a stiff kick on Lashley before things went to commercial, potentially changing who was in control. Back from commercial, that shift hadn’t lasted. Lashley continued to maintain a firm grasp on the pacing of the match as things continued.

He went for the Dominator on more than one occasion only for Finn Balor to slip out. Finn followed up that second escape with a slingblade and dropkick into the corner. He was looking for Coup de Grace when the bell suddenly started ringing.

Lio Rush had showed up at ringside and was ringing the bell to distract Finn Balor. Balor turned managed to knock Rush down and turned his focus back to Lashley, springboarding into the ring only to be hit mid-air with a brutal spear by Lashley. “The All Mighty” followed it with a pin to reclaim the Intercontinental Championship.

Grade: B+, This was a solid match and one of Lashley’s best powerhouse performances since returning. Balor played a great underdog, and the finish with Lio Rush was right on brand for Rush and Lashley.
