2. Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka: WrestleMania 34

By the beginning of 2018, Asuka was establishing herself as the most dominant force in the WWE’s women’s division.  The undefeated ‘Empress Of Tomorrow’ made history by becoming the winner of the first-ever all-women’s Royal Rumble match in January, which guaranteed her a title shot at WrestleMania 34.

Asuka made her intentions clear on who she would challenge at WrestleMania 34 at Fastlane when she approached SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair.  It was official, Charlotte would defend her title against Asuka on ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All’ in what was probably the most anticipated women’s match in WrestleMania history up to that point.

The undefeated streak of Asuka would meet its toughest challenge yet when a focused Charlotte had no intention of losing her SmackDown Women’s Championship.  Something had to give, and boy did it ever in arguably the best match at WrestleMania 34.

These women left everything they had, and then some, in the ring that night to leave a lasting impression on the WWE universe.

Most assumed ‘The Empress Of Tomorrow’ would keep her undefeated streak alive and win the title, but those fans were shocked when Charlotte made Asuka tap out to the Figure-Eight to retain the SmackDown Women’s Championship and end Asuka’s undefeated streak.

This was a fantastic match that lived up to the hype, which is sometimes a hard task to accomplish in the WWE.

In what could be argued as the greatest women’s match in WrestleMania history, ‘The Queen’ and ‘The Empress Of Tomorrow’ tore the house down at WrestleMania 34.
