Erick Rowan

A man of few words, Erick Rowan was more known for his brute strength as a member of the Wyatt Family, though he did once show his “lighter” side on Talking Smack with the help of a balloon as a not-so-friendly prop.

Rowan has been tremendous as Daniel Bryan’s sidekick, and the WWE Champion’s intellectually-stimulating friend will be anything but an easy opponent for Kingston to content with. As a member of The New Day, Kingston knows first-hand what Rowan is capable of, seeing how he and his partner Luke Harper decimated the babyface trio for the better part of 2018, winning the SmackDown Tag Team Titles in a Triple Threat match at last year’s WrestleMania against New Day and previous title-holders The Usos.

Of course, The New Day got their revenge months later at another big venue, winning the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at SummerSlam. Kingston’s respect for Rowan as a competitor and knowledge of how to beat the more physically imposing man will serve him well in this Gauntlet Match.

But Rowan is even more powerful than Joe and arguably just as smart and sadistic. Like with Joe, Kofi must avoid staying in the ring too long with Rowan, whose power game might be the best on SmackDown Live – and he’ll have the added psychological motivation of wanting to either soften Kofi up for Bryan or ruin the future Hall of Famer’s WrestleMania dream entirely.
