2. Royal Rumble victory

This was Becky Lynch’s night. A career highlight.

Entrant number 28 in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match was Lana, who had injured her ankle in the kickoff show. Unable to complete her entrance and enter the match, an opportunity arose for The Man. Over 48,000 fans in Chase Field recognized it too as “We Want Becky” chants rung around the ballpark.

Soon, they got their wish. Moments after Carmella, the final entrant, made her way to the ring, roars erupted around the ground. Before the camera could even cut to the ramp, it had quickly become evident that The Man had come around in Phoenix.

Becky pleaded with Finlay to allow her entry into the match. And after initially refusing the request, the man that loves to fight allowed The Man to enter the biggest fight of her life.

Lynch would overcome a knee injury to eliminate Nia Jax and Charlotte en route to the most significant victory of her career.

There was delight in the desert as The Man achieved her crowning moment, punching her ticket to the main event of WrestleMania.

The McMahon family ensured the road to MetLife Stadium was a bumpy one, but Becky’s journey to a date versus Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair started with one of the all-time great Rumble moments.
