WWE WrestleMania 35 Match Card Predictions: It’s Time To Slay The Beast

Buddy Murphy (c) vs. Tony Nese [Cruiserweight Championship]⚛️
On 205 Live, there is an ongoing tournament to determine the next #1 contender for the Cruiserweight Championship. The finalists in said tourney were Cedric Alexander and Nese, who defeated Oney Lorcan and Drew Gulak respectively in the semifinals.
Since Alexander won the cruiserweight championship last year against Mustafa Ali and already obtained his WrestleMania Moment as well as a lengthy title reign, it is definitely fitting for Nese to finally obtain a Cruiserweight championship opportunity for the first time in his 205 Live career.
Thankfully, 205 Live did just that as Nese defeated Alexander, a former Cruiserweight Champion, to win the #1 contender’s tournament in impressive fashion. Also, it was pure genius to have Nese kick out of Alexander’s Lumbar Check since Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy is the only other current cruiserweight to have done the same. This was an ideal way to push Nese as a credible contender for the championship and thereby put him at the same level with the champion.
However, he may eventually lose the championship match against Murphy at WrestleMania 35. There’s no doubt that Buddy Murphy has been the most momentous Cruiserweight Champion this year and he must retain the title at WrestleMania 35 to fulfill his dominant reign. That’s not a prediction… that’s a law! Murphy’s Law!
