Ember Moon

This is the feud that gave us the first look into how good of a heel Baszler would become. She and Ember spent most of 2018 fighting Ember in what was two excellent matches at NXT TakeOver New Orleans and Philadelphia. During those matches she displayed a level of ring psychology and story telling that was perfect for her role as the despicable heel. In character her facials and mannerisms made it seem like she enjoyed damaging every part of Moon’s body. Taking the defeat at NXT TakeOver Philadelphia in January didn’t halt her momentum which led to her first title run starting at NXT TakeOver New Orleans in April.

Moon was injured back at the Royal Rumble and is scheduled to be out for an extended period after surgery. If the timetable would work out for all parties involved, Moon’s surprise return would be a great way to welcome Baszler to the main roster. While there are some who would be upset at the idea of Moon losing in another feud on the main roster, the fact that she hasn’t been used correctly at this time can facilitate Baszler going over in this feud and not tarnish her place on the roster too much.

Moon versus Baszler would be a strong way to introduce Baszler slow and painful style to the mainstream fans while giving her an adversary in Moon that has an uncanny ability to sell her opponent’s offense. Their pairing would go a strong way in continuing the narrative that began in NXT (which is something that WWE Creative has struggle with) and giving Baszler prime placement against a top name on the main roster.
