Ruby Riott
Ruby Riott is a valuable member of the women’s roster. While she didn’t receive much shine during her time in NXT, she’s become a role player on the main roster that’s needed in many ways. She can be inserted into any match as a solid worker that can help the inexperienced, but she’s credible enough that she’s remained a threat for picking up a believable win. Plus, the addition of Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan helps Riott come off as the “end boss” of sorts for women looking to push their way up the main roster.
Baszler would benefit from working with Riott early in her main roster run. The question is whether WWE Creative would want to segue away from Baszler being a heel, rather than just being an uber-tough woman who enjoys beating people up. Unlike Ronda Rousey, Baszler hasn’t displayed any type of a pleasant demeanor, expect when she’s beating people down in the ring. This feud could be based on nothing more than Riott taking offense to Baszler being presented as the toughest woman on the roster when she’s been there for years.
As with the suggested feud against Ember Moon, the purpose of Baszler’s introductory feud should be to get her over as a viable threat to whomever is holding the title on either brand. Even though Riott hasn’t been featured as a credible option as champion at this point, her place on the main roster serves as a space where she can be presented as the first hurdle for anyone chasing after the belt. Here it would be Baszler who would go over after dominating Ruby and the entire Riott Squad.
