Triple H responds to a letter from Batista’s lawyer

One of our final parts of WWE Raw saw Triple H, who is scheduled to face Batista in a No Holds Barred Match at WrestleMania 35. Triple H came out and it’s not exaggeration to say he reminded everyone why he’s one of the best talkers this industry has ever seen.

While Triple H wasn’t always the “top guy” during his times in WWE and often excelled because he had great opponents, his command of the microphone is almost unparalleled. He continued that here, and even flowed with mistakes better than most WWE talents contend with a flawless segment.

Triple H explained he was there with a letter from Batista’s lawyer, a letter which he struggled for quite a while to get out of his jacket. In frustration, he even commented “I’m doing the job for the envelope,” while struggling to retrieve it.

Once he did, Triple H started by summing up some of Dave’s thoughts and opinions. These included Batista’s “recent realization” that Evolution was just a way for Triple H to protect himself and his championship at that time, as well as the reiteration that Triple H was holding him down.

After some fun summary, including a quote that almost rolled into an iteration of “Wannabe” by the Spice Girls, Triple H finally got to the real content of the letter. Essentially, Batista claimed he wouldn’t compete at WrestleMania unless Triple H put his career on the line.

Triple H responded quite clearly that he wouldn’t let Batista quit this time, and wouldn’t give him a reason to weasel out of the match. Triple H agreed, and now his career will be on the line in just 13 days at WrestleMania 35. If Batista wins, Triple H’s in-ring career is over.

Grade: A+, Triple H is so good, and this was probably the best example of that in some time. Even silly moments and mistakes were turned into gold, while still hyping up what looks to be a great clash between these two at WrestleMania 35.
