Ricochet & Aleister Black vs. The Revival

Up next on WWE Raw we had non-title action where Ricochet and Aleister Black took on the reigning Raw Tag Team Champions The Revival. The champions tried to gain an advantage by attacking Black and Ricochet before the match started, but things were broken up and brought back to neutral before the bell rang.

While Ricochet tried to utilize his uncanny agility, The Revival quickly turned to their usual gameplan. Using classic tag team skills to cut the ring in half and isolate opponents, Ricochet was slowly worn down for some time. When he finally made the tag for Black, things immediately picked up and the former NXT Champion unloaded with a flurry of several strong strikes.

The Revival tried to regain a hold on things, but found themselves in the ring on the receiving end of a Black Mass that knocked both men to the mat. Scott Dawson was even knocked out of the ring, and Ricochet landed a 630 Senton on Dash Wilder seconds later to pick up a huge win and likely set Aleister Black and Ricochet up for a future tag team title shot.

Grade: B+, This was a fun match and clearly puts Black and Ricochet in line for a future title shot, but if the plan is for these two teams to fight at WrestleMania for the titles, something more concrete would’ve been better. We’ve seen versions of this match too many times for this to only see a win mean a “potential future title shot.”
