3. Kurt Angle Mentors Chad Gable

Kurt Angle announced on the March 11th edition of Raw that he planned to retire at WrestleMania 35. Since then, he has been taking on tough competition from Raw and SmackDown Live in an effort to end his career on top, and among the opponents he has faced is Chad Gable.

The idea of an Angle vs. Gable match years ago was almost unfathomable, especially when the former multi-time WWE world champion was still under contract to IMPACT. Thus, it was cool for them to finally go one-on-one on the March 18 Raw, even if it wasn’t nearly as exciting as it would have been a few years back.

Needless to say, Angle should stick around after WrestleMania in an on-air role of some sort. He has already tried his hand at being an authority figure, so becoming a manager for an up-and-comer on the WWE roster would be the next best thing.

Angle and Gable have so much untapped potential as a pairing that it would only make sense for them to join forces following ‘The Show of Shows.’ The Olympic gold medalist has been past his prime as an active competitor for a while now, but he still has plenty more to offer, not only to WWE, but also to someone such as Gable.

The former member of American Alpha has been spinning his wheels in the tag team ranks for years, and it’s high time he be showcased on his own. Having Angle by his side as his mentor would definitely put him on the right track to super stardom.
