WWE WrestleMania 35 Final Match Predictions

Samoa Joe (c) vs. Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship

During his Raw match against Baron Corbin, Rey Mysterio suffered an ankle injury as he came down from the top rope. Though his status for Sunday doesn’t seem to be in any doubt, WWE will continue to monitor the injury and fans will stay tuned for more updates regarding Mysterio’s status for this match against Samoa Joe.

If Mysterio is indeed healthy enough to wrestle, he heads into The Show of Shows as the favorite in this match. Though Samoa Joe is a monster, one of the world’s best, and should have a lengthy title reign, it seems like Mysterio is here to conquer SmackDown Live’s biggest bully. Joe has run his way through SmackDown’s mid-card, going out of his way to make Mustafa Ali’s life miserable, beating him down one more time on the go-home show before WrestleMania.

With his son Dominic at ringside, Mysterio could very well prevail at WrestleMania in what would be another big win for the babyfaces. However, Joe could just as easily play spoiler here as he marches towards a long reign on SmackDown before potentially moving on to the WWE Championship once that picture has settled during the summer.

This is a tough match to call, and there’s a chance someone like Andrade “Cien” Almas, Kevin Owens, or Ali gets inserted. But, for now, let’s roll with Rey.
