Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship

Once again, I cannot wait for the day where I don’t have to write the little “(c)” after Brock Lesnar’s name, because this latest Universal Championship reign is even more ridiculous than the first. Then again, Lesnar did have an excellent match with Finn Balor at the Royal Rumble…but still…we need a full-time champion on Monday Night Raw, and nobody has been better in the Men’s Division on Monday Nights than Rollins, whose ascendancy began at a Gauntlet Match before last year’s Elimination Chamber.

Rollins has made this match against Lesnar a fight about differing ideologies, and as he showed on the go-home show before WWE WrestleMania 35, he’s willing to go to any lengths to make sure the beast is slain.

Could that mean he would welcome assistance from Dean Ambrose, who recently reunited with The Shield after Roman Reigns, the glue that holds the legendary faction together, returned? Would something as outlandish as interference from UFC star Daniel Cormier take place to set up a future fight with Lesnar?

Ideally, Rollins wins this match clean and has a fulfilling reign as Universal Champion, which would include great matches against the likes of Finn Balor, Drew McIntyre, and Roman Reigns. But we don’t live in an ideal world, as Vince McMahon likely wants to protect Brock Lesnar to the max, especially with a move to FOX forthcoming for SmackDown Live.

Still, Rollins has to win. He just has to.

Prediction: Seth Rollins
