Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre

One day, Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre will clash in a Universal Championship match for the ages. But, for now, the WWE Universe will get to see these two elite athletes trade blows at “The Show of Shows”.

Despite the fact that McIntyre had little trouble vanquishing Dean Ambrose, he’s the clear underdog in this match. Seth Rollins, who will face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WWE WrestleMania 35, has gotten the better of McIntyre before, so why wouldn’t Reigns? Though Rollins and Reigns are portrayed as essentially even competitors in kayfabe – a comparison that would be become even more meaningful if Rollins were to win the title on Sunday – Reigns is “The Big Dog” for a reason.

McIntyre, a former NXT Champion, will surely give Reigns all that he can handle. Perhaps Ambrose will have to get involved as an act of revenge against McIntyre, giving him something important to do at WrestleMania despite rumors that he’s on his way out.

It’s more likely that Reigns doesn’t need help as he puts an emphatic exclamation mark on his return to the ring with his first big singles victory since his return. McIntyre and Reigns will have an excellent match, but hopefully they leave us begging for more; these two are destined to have an all-time feud for one of WWE’s top titles.
