Bobby Lashley (c) vs. “The Demon” Finn Balor for the Intercontinental Championship

It’s always fun to call the Intercontinental Championship WWE’s “most prestigious title” as a nod to The Miz, and the title has quite the lineage. However, it ran the risk of feeling less important on this show, and some fans aren’t fully invested in yet another match between Bobby Lashley and Finn Balor.

Of course, many others couldn’t be more excited to see “The Demon” in action in New York City. We last saw Balor as “The Demon” at SummerSlam last year, and he squashed Baron Corbin, who just beat the legendary Rey Mysterio with his signature move on the main event of Raw before WrestleMania.

Needless to say, the undefeated Demon is a big deal, and Balor is the overwhelming favorite to walk away from WWE WrestleMania 35 with the Intercontinental Championship. After Lio Rush’s interference helped Lashley win the title back from Balor, who first won the gold at the Elimination Chamber Pay Per View in February, Finn will be itching to have a real reign with the title. This could be even more of a feel-good win for the WWE Universe than Seth Rollins’ IC Title win was at WrestleMania 34.

As for Lashley, he’s firmly established himself as one of Raw’s top heels after having some trouble building momentum early in his current stint with WWE. But he was always destined to turn heel, and Rush has helped him had another layer to his character. Lashley should be a future Universal Champion, so if he does drop the title, it’d be nice to see him in the main event scene.

Prediction: Finn Balor
