WWE WrestleMania 35 Rebook: No Brock Lesnar, But A Shield Triple Threat

11. Samoa Joe vs Rey Mysterio vs Andrade vs Ali vs Owens vs Truth vs Cena
United States Championship Ladder Match
If you want to start the biggest show of the year off hot, you start with what has become a recent WrestleMania tradition: the mass of flesh ladder match.
At current there is no ladder match on the card and the United States championship match will feature Samoa Joe vs Rey Mysterio. There is also a subplot involving Rey Mysterio’s son that has appeared out of nowhere. There just doesn’t seem to have been enough backstory laid out for this one on one match. A big multi-man match, though? Now we’re talking.
Rey Mysterio and Andrade have a great feud built up between them. We’ve seen R-Truth wrestling with the two and providing great entertainment when doing so. Samoa Joe became the United States champion when being added to that mix, so those four men all have a claim to either a title shot or the title itself.
Meanwhile, Kevin Owens recently joined SmackDown Live but has not been able to find much of a place or purpose. At the moment, he is not booked for WrestleMania. The exact same thing can be said of Mustafa Ali who has feuded well with Daniel Bryan but only in an outside style.
John Cena would be there for several reasons. Drawing power, creativity and the possibility of several feuds coming out of this or going in. He has had storied feuds with Owens and Mysterio and there’s a lot of appetite for a Cena vs Joe feud.
Why ladders, you say? Well, look at the names in this match. Mysterio, Andrade and Ali will provide high flying. Cena and Joe will provide power. Everyone is inventive. This match would be incredible.
