Surprises, debuts, and curveballs? What could take place on the episode of WWE SmackDown Live after WrestleMania 35? Let’s make some bold predictions for Tuesday, April 7 after what should be eventful Sunday night.

Admittedly, this piece was a tad difficult to write.  Since pen was originally put to paper about a month ago, Charlotte won the SmackDown Women’s Championship and Kofi Kingston has commandeered the landscape of the program.  In these predictions are both of their thumbprints, and it should be acknowledged that WWE has made SmackDown inarguably WWE’s A-show on cable.

What makes SmackDown the new A-show is the talent it is marinated in.  The like of Shinsuke Nakamura, Rusev, Asuka, Cesaro, Sheamus, and others who could, with the right angle, be legitimate world champions at any time, have to be pushed to the side because Kofi Kingston has to remind all of us how amazing he is, Daniel Bryan needs time to make us hate his vegetable-fueled pontificating, Becky Lynch needs time to verbally own anyone, including John Cena and Edge, who dates to rhetorically duel with her.

SmackDown Live is currently WWE’s resident embarrassment of riches, and these predictions (WHEN they become a reality), will only benefit an already excellent show.
