WWE: 5 Bold Predictions for the SmackDown Live After WrestleMania 35
By John Brown
2. Asuka Will (and should) Kick Charlotte While She’s Down
Asuka was not the same lethal weapon that got her to prominence when she lost her belt to Charlotte Flair on the March 26 edition of WWE SmackDown Live. She was a champion, but she needed Charlotte and Becky Lynch to cancel each other out in order to get the belt. She had just come off of a year of dancing with Naomi and watching her once-affluent stock drop as Becky developed the killer instinct Asuka should have had the whole time.
On the SmackDown after WWE WrestleMania 35, Asuka will remind us of who she is and decimate a weakened, beltless Charlotte.
Charlotte Flair will be coming off the heels of losing in the match that finds women main-eventing WrestleMania for the first time. The offspring of Ric Flair is going to be emotionally (and certainly physically) beaten….but will undoubtedly cut a shrill, villainous, whiny promo.
Enter Asuka.
“The Empress of Tomorrow” will finally live up to her tagline, as tomorrow will be her focus as she attempts to reclaim her spot as the most feared female in WWE.
NOTE: WWE might want to consider building to a Asuka vs. Ronda Rousey match or feud down the line. I’m just sayin’.
