Elias is interrupted by…the doctor?!

Up next we got an exclusive WrestleMania performance by Elias, which was unsurprisingly interrupted. Before it was, things looked ready for a really special performance from Elias featuring…Elias? Yes, there were more Elias’s on the screen playing drums and piano while Elias was in the ring on guitar.

The crowd looked completely invested as Elias began to play, but the crowd interrupted by singing “ohh, walk with Elias,” which the performer in the ring happily gave a tune for. There was even Elias’s name projected onto the crowd. It was all great, until suddenly the screen changed and a black and white video of Babe Ruth classic baseball footage was shown the moment he “called his shot.”

After the video played, we got the sudden thump of “Basic Thuganomics” by John Cena echoing throughout the arena. The veteran walked out onto the ramp in classic 2003 gear with a backwards baseball cap, baseball jersey, and “Word Life” knucks on his hands. Cena made his way to the ring, slipping right back into his classic “Doctor of Thuganomics” persona.

He laid down a series of inventive insults, all classic things for this version of John Cena. Finally Elias looked fed up with things, taking off his robe looking ready to fight. However, that fight also didn’t go as he’d planned. Cena hit a strike on him before landing the Five Knuckle Shuffle, with the knucks on, and following it up with an

Grade: A, Look this was just a fun moment. Elias got his “WrestleMania performance,” and we got a great throwback with “The Doctor of Thuganomics.” Just fun. Such fun.
