Shane McMahon and The Miz faced off in a Falls Count Anywhere match at WWE WrestleMania 35, and wrestling fans were ready for some absolute insanity.

The role reversal between babyface Miz and heel Shane McMahon has been absolutely wonderful, and that was exemplified perfectly by Greg Hamilton’s announcement for Shane at WWE WrestleMania 35.

Miz’s dad was once again at ringside to watch his son, and given that this is a Falls Count Anywhere match, we are in for the most beautiful of train wrecks. Like, even more so than a regular Shane McMahon match.

Also, can we appreciate Miz’s pyro? Awesome stuff!

Shane quickly heeled it up by retreating to the outside, unwilling to engage with a fired-up Miz. And, of course, Shane went after his dead as Miz gave chase, but Shane simply baited him and started planting The A-Lister with his usual fists.

The so-called “Best in the World” taunted George Mizanin, “Is this your boy?” before taking the fight to the outside, ripping apart the announce table, and smashing Miz’s face with a TV monitor. He laid Miz out on the announce table and set up for his signature move from the top rope.

But Miz’s dad moved in the way to save his son!

Shane backed off!

Even crazier, Miz’s dad moved into the ring to square off against Shane! He truly is the GOAT for this! He even put his fists up and everything! Shane actually taught him how to put his fists stuff, too, to prepare him for this.

He then started teeing off on Miz’s dad before Miz got back in and tore Shane to pieces, tossing him all over ringside.

The match got increasingly slower, more testy, and more brutal on the outside, with Miz beating Shane up at the guardrail, sending the back of the former SmackDown commissioner’s skull bouncing off the metal. He then viciously targeted Shane’s broken down knee before reaching for a steel chair, bashing Shane’s lower-body and back. This is exactly what Shane gets for what he did to Miz’s father at Fastlane and at MetLife tonight.

It was pure carnage. Miz wrecked anything and everything on the outside to get to Shane, serving up the beating of a lifetime to Shane, crashing him through the announce table before Shane somehow kicked out. This was an awesome car wreck of a match.

Shane wouldn’t quit staying in the match, so Miz wouldn’t quit dominating him. He hit Shane with a CRAZY Skull Crushing Finale on the metal production area, but, of course, Shane kicked out after selling the absolute heck out of Miz’s finisher. Shane doesn’t go down quickly, even as a heel.

The resiliency Shane displayed was insane, as he started climbing the camera platform on one leg, hopping  to the top to potentially do something even more ridiculous.

McMahon tried to plea off Miz as he kneeled from a great height, apologizing as profusely as possible. Miz wouldn’t accept the apology, and he was ready to throw Shane off the heights of the camera platform.

No…he had something even more dangerous planned! A SUPERPLEX!

He did it. He superplexed himself and Shane off the top of the camera, and Shane was the one who fell on top of him.

I repeat, Shane fell on top of Miz in a Falls Count Anywhere, the ref counted, and Shane won.

Yes, Shane McMahon beat The Miz at WrestleMania after being dominated and superplexed.

The Miz died for our sins tonight, so that every other babyface on the card could rise. What a legend. And after the bumps these two men took in this fantastic match, hopefully nobody questions either Miz or Shane, especially not The Miz. That man must be protected at all costs.

Of course, this rivalry is far from over, and Miz will surely get his revenge on Shane soon, maybe as soon as the SmackDown after WWE WrestleMania 35.
