WWE Raw Results, Highlights, and Grades for April 8, 2019
Dana Brooke Promo
Before the Elias concert, we get Dana Brooke on the screen, as she speaks to Sarah Schreiber to congratulate Becky Lynch for winning both championships. She remarks that there’s a “line forming” for Becky’s challengers, and while she isn’t at the front of the line, she firmly states that she’s no longer at the back of the line. Brooke is ready to “seize” an opportunity to compete for Becky’s championships.
Elias Concert
Renee Young is as excited as we are for Elias’s concert, and he’s ready to have a REAL concert after the Dr. of Thuganomics’s interruption at WrestleMania 35.
Elias says that John Cena isn’t an “artist”, and says that he is merely riding Elias’s coattails. This leads to a “Walk With Elias” chant from the Raw after WrestleMania crowd.
And, uh, Elias is gonna rap!
When Elias said the words “Dead Man” in reference to John Cena…the GONG HIT!
(Please don’t be Dolph Ziggler…please don’t be Dolph Ziggler.)
It was real, it was true! The Undertaker appeared on the Raw after WrestleMania!
Someone check on Elias’s pulse!
When The Undertaker summoned the lightening, let’s just say Elias looked like he wanted to sink into the earth.
Bravely, Elias decided to stand his grown, though, as the audience chanted “Holy S***!” with Taker standing there, face-to-face, with WWE’s greatest musician.
It didn’t end well for Elias, who was a “Dead Man” by the end of the segment, as The Undertaker ceremonially buried “The Drifter” with a Tombstone.
Grade: A, This was a LOT of fun. Poor Elias, but at least he got the rub here!
