A Seth Rollins, Kofi Kingston Confrontation

It feels SO good to have a real Universal Champion again!

Seth Rollins walked down the ramp to a huge ovation in his first entrance as Universal Champion, as the WWE Raw after WrestleMania crowd was ecstatic to see “The Beast Slayer”.

Receiving the “You Deserve It!” chants, Rollins corrected the crowd. Not by saying, “I EARNED it”, as he usually does, but by saying “WE Deserved It!”.

And as he received “Thank You” chants, he thanked the fans for helping push him towards this moment, where he conquered The Beast Incarnate at WrestleMania 35 for the Universal Championship.

Addressing the low-blow, Rollins succinctly surmised that he only did to Lesnar what Lesnar would have done to him, given the opportunity. And he’s 100-percent right.

Rollins brought up a purported trip by Lesnar and Paul Heyman to Las Vegas, and the WWE Universe agreed that the duo can stay in Las Vegas now that there’s a real champion on Raw.

Here to interrupt Rollins…was The New Day! Big E, Xavier Woods, and new WWE Champion Kofi Kingston came out to the Brooklyn crowd, and the Power of Positivity was certainly in the air with the new world champions in the ring!

Kingston told Rollins that he is right to be confused that The New Day are out on Monday night, but Rollins is pleasantly surprised. Kofi clarifies that he’s not here on Raw to join Raw, but he’s here to celebrate after last night’s monumental title victory.

Then, Kofi ups the ante, asking Rollins to face him in a Winner Takes All match for the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship. The crowd? Well, they think it’s awesome!

Rollins’ response? “Challenge accepted.”

Sure, it’ll be a non-finish, but, man, this will be an amazing match. And that’s what I’m here for!

Grade: A+, What an amazing way to begin the Raw after WrestleMania. I loved seeing the new male world champions out there, and Kofi definitely knows how to up the ante!
