Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley
Result: Alexa Bliss pins Bayley after a DDT
Here’s your Moment of Bliss! Alexa Bliss, who successfully hosted WrestleMania 35, is out here on the WWE Raw after WrestleMania to wrestle against either Sasha Banks or Bayley after calling out the Boss’N’Hug Connection for their Women’s Tag Team Championship defeat.
Unsure of who would respond, the announce team waited…and then Bayley’s music hit! Bayley and Bliss have quite the history together, dating back to a certain infamous Extreme Rules match in 2017, which Bayley avenged by eliminating Bliss in the Women’s Rumble this year.
But a win against Bliss after last night’s loss? That would be extra sweet for The Huggable One.
Bliss feigned concern for Bayley, who attacked Alexa straight away; she’s not in a good mood AT ALL after the IIconics stole a win last night.
That said, Bliss picked up an early advantage by attacking Bayley viciously on the outside, and “The Goddess” stayed on “The Hugger”, putting her in a rest hold as the Brooklyn crowd chanted for a babyface comeback.
Bliss hit an early DDT on Bayley, and picked up a fast win on The Hugger. Bayley is in a SLIDE right now after last night’s loss, so all eyes will be on how the Boss’N’Hug Connection bounce back.
As for Bliss, this is a massive statement, and it puts her one step closer to getting back into the title picture. I’m sure her fans will be happy about this, but, well, Bayley fans will rightfully say that this should have been a better result. Like, this could have at least been more of a showcase for these two talented superstars.
Grade: D, WWE should have given both women more time here. This was bad.
