WWE: 10 Moves We Want For the Superstar Shake-Up
Naomi to Raw
When WWE revived the brand split in 2016, it saw Naomi get drafted to SmackDown Live. While being on the blue brand, she has truly “GLOW”-ed with her presence leading the SmackDown women’s division. Despite being a 2-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, that is a title Naomi hasn’t held since August of 2017. That’s a nearly two year drought, and a period where she hasn’t been able to shine in a division largely dominated by Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Asuka.
Not only would this give Naomi a chance at a fresh start, but we’d see potential match-ups that have literally never been in the cards. Competitors like Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, Live Morgan, and even Ronda Rousey have remained staples of Raw while Naomi held down the fort on SmackDown. All of those fresh match-ups would be must see, and could be the boost Naomi needs to capture gold once again.
Sasha Banks to SmackDown Live
Speaking of fresh starts, “The Boss” has been a staple of Raw since the brand split happened in 2016. During that time period, Sasha Banks has managed an impressive four reigns as Raw Women’s Champion, but she’s struggled to hold onto the title through multiple defenses. She captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles with Bayley at Elimination Chamber, but even those titles slipped through their fingers at WrestleMania 35 when The IIconics picked up the win.
Now Sasha Banks finds herself at a crossroads with the hope of changing things up, and a move to SmackDown Live might be just the thing to do it. On top of the fresh competition this would give her, Banks would have an interesting incentive. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles exist on both brands. If Banks is separated from Bayley via the Superstar Shake-Up, she could have the opportunity to reunite with her partner, but only by recapturing the Women’s Tag Team Titles. This newfound challenge might be just what “The Boss” needs.
